Verizon does not operate nationwide fibre-to-the-home infrastructure. Fios launched in Keller, Texas, in 2004 and remains limited to select markets. Its 5G rollout reached only 30 cities by end-2019. Its 3G speed — 144 kb/s — was functionally obsolete for video or modern web use within five years.
